Summer Resident Camp

Each summer students travel to Camp Nathanael, the 540 acre camping facility of SMMM, for an exciting week of camp. A typical summer usually includes three weeks of camp for grade school students, a week for junior high students and one additional week for high school students. During camp students participate in a full range of activities including Bible instruction, music, swimming, archery, horseback riding, a climbing tower, crafts, group games and much more. Campers can earn a free week of camp by completing a seven lesson Bible course. Each lesson includes five Bible verses to memorize. Alternatively a camper can pay a fee to participate.

Day Camp

Students having completed first, second, or third grade have the opportunity to experience the summer camp setting by participating in Day Camp. For three consecutive days children come to the campus and enjoy a host of activities while returning home each evening. In this way these young students catch a glimpse of what awaits them in the coming years at Camp Nathanael.

Breakaway! Events

Each fall and spring students have the opportunity to“Breakaway!” from the grind of school by enjoying a weekend full of fun and activities. They get to experience a small taste of the summer camp program while being given the opportunity to accept the Gospel and to grow spiritually. Students often arrive full of energy only to head back home tired from a weekend of excitement.

Wilderness Wanderings

Wilderness Wanderings is a unique ministry that reaches out to the school children of the region. The program offers a one-day, creation based nature/science field trip at Camp Nathanael. Conducted for five weeks in late September and early October and using camp’s wonderful facilities, public school, Christian school, and home school students spend the day learning of God’s creation through interactive small group activities centered around various themes. The SMMM staff and volunteers provide the preschool through eighth grade participants with a great opportunity to see nature first hand.
