The 2009 summer season got underway on June 10th as 99 eager first through third graders arrived for our Day Camp.  The camp buses brought many of the children from Hazard and Hindman, and others were transported by their parents.  Registration filled up early for this very popular activity. Lauren Moore, a graduate of Allen Central High School in Floyd County, has been awarded the Camp Nathanael Scholarship for 2009.  Lauren is a nine year camper, and has served on our summer staff for four years.  The scholarship was presented by Mission Director, Roy Hodson, during Allen Central's Awards Day program on June 7.
