Twenty-three volunteers, from five churches in four different states, joined with our mission family to prepare for the upcoming camp season. Two groups came from Virginia, along with others from Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania. The old saying, “many hands make light work,” was certainly evident during the week.
The camper and staff cabins as well as other buildings were cleaned, camper handbooks were printed and assembled, the swimming pool was opened and prepared, various maintenance projects accomplished and the Kentucky Building addition and the Mountain Cabin moved toward completion.
Our hearts were also prepared as David Price, Associate Director of Kentucky Mountain Misson in Beattyville, shared practical and challenging messages from the Word morning and evening. We certainly appreciate all those who gave of their time, talents and energy to help us prepare for ministry to hundreds of children, young people and adults this summer.
